General Rules
- Children under 18 are the responsibility of their parents or guardian and need to return to their campsite by 10:00 PM.
- QUIET TIME: 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM
- All fires out by 11:00 PM. (Fires are never to be left unattended!)
- Emergency messages will be delivered to your campsite. All others will be posted at the information center in the store.
- ALL VEHICLES MUST HAVE A VALID PASS AT ALL TIMES IN THE CAMPGROUND
- THE SPEED LIMIT THROUGH THE ENTIRE PARK IS 5 MPH. Please drive slowly and watch out for children
- Please, keep your site clean and leave it as you found it. All trash should be put in dumpsters located conveniently throughout the campground as indicated on the Site Map
- Walking or biking through other's camp sites is prohibited. Please use only roadways and access paths
- To conserve water, we request that guests not wash camping units or vehicles at their site
- Management reserves the right to limit the number of people per site
- Gray water must be contained and disposed of at the dump stations. It's the law
- Strictly prohibited: Firearms, explosives (including firecrackers), loud or disorderly conduct, and foul language
- All visitors or guests must obtain a pass to the campground at the office. There is a charge for visitors or guests over 2 years of age.
Pet Information and Copy of Required Pet Policy
Must be Signed at Registration- Upon check-in, please notify the office of your pets
- Pets are not allowed on the trolley anytime or the public beaches between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM from May 23rd to September 1st
- All visiting guests must leave their pets at home
- Pitbulls and any aggressive dogs are not welcome.
- In order to ensure that you have a memorable camping experience and for the benefit of all of our campers, we have found it necessary to implement a pet policy. We understand your pet is part of your family. Unfortunately, we have found that pets have become the biggest complaint here at Wild Acres. We still welcome this family member as long as the following policies are followed. If you do not comply with all policies, we will be forced to ask you to leave the campground immediately without a refund
- Pet/s will be on a leash at all times and walked by only the adults
- Pet/s will not be brought to the swimming pools or in any of the buildings
- Pet/s will be cleaned up after with the proper equipment and disposed of properly
- Pet/s will not be allowed to disturb your neighbors in any manner
- Pet/s will not be left unattended at the site or anywhere in the park, at any time.
- In registering to stay at Wild Acres, you agree to follow the pet policies listed above and also confirm that your pet/s is/are not aggressive in any manner and that your pet/s is/are current on all necessary rabies shots, etc.
Restrooms
We are proud of our restroom facilities, and make every effort to keep them clean and well-maintained. Therefore, the restrooms have posted cleaning times and they will be inaccessible at these times. Please plan accordingly and use an alternate building. On occasion, the times will vary due to situations at different locations. Please be understanding.
Bicycles, Mopeds and Motorcycles
- Absolutely no bicycles ridden after dark. Any unacceptable behavior will result in loss of the tag and the bike may not be ridden
- Bicycles must be ridden with proper speed (slow). Maine has a helmet law ... 16 years old and under must wear one! We do not enforce this, as this is up to you and your family
- Motorcycles must have a bike tag or valid car tag visible
- Motorcycles must be walked in and out of the campground between the quiet hours of 11:00PM and 8:00AM
- Designated bicycle parking areas must be used
- No skateboards or gopeds (motorized scooters)
- No golf cars
- No one under 18 allowed to operate mopeds.
Playgrounds
- No admittance to playgrounds between Dusk and 8:00 AM.
Pools and Hot Tubs
- Rules are clearly posted and enforced
- Pool Hours: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult to and in the pool area
- No lifeguards are provided.
Trash
- Please do not leave trash on site or road side. Locations for trash disposal are clearly marked on our map.
